One of my favorite activities these days is to dance and sing to the theme songs of my favorite shows! Here is a video that shows me dancing to Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

Christmas
This Christmas season has been very busy. On Christmas Eve, I celebrated at home with Mommy and Daddy. This is the present I got from Santa. It plays music and a fan shoots balls out of a hole and they fly everywhere. It is a little stressful managing this toy because I have to keep track of where the balls are at all times!
Here is a video of me playing with my toy!
On Christmas Day, I got more presents from Santa. My favorite thing was the bag of popcorn he left me in my stocking!
The next day, I celebrated with my aunts and uncles and my grandma. The day after THAT, I went to my other grandpa and grandma's house and celebrated there. Here is a picture of the wooden blocks and wheelbarrow my grandpa made me. Grandpa is my special friend lately. :-)
Last, but not least, this picture was too cute to pass up.

It's just so hard to resist...
Mommy and Daddy bought and set up a Christmas tree a couple weekends ago. Since they put it right where my toys normally go, I assumed the tree was a present for me. Naturally, I want to play with it all the time.
Everything is just so shiny and jingly...
Mommy and Daddy weren't happy that I ignored their repeated "No's" about touching the tree, so they started giving me time-outs. Time-outs aren't fun. You have to stay in one place for a really long time. The first time Mommy and Daddy made me go to time-out, I didn't understand and it took 20 times before I stayed in my spot in the hallway (which, by the way, is a really boring place to have time-outs).
Oh no, back to time out again...

15 Months Old and Counting
I recently had my 15-month appointment. I am growing up fast. Mommy and Daddy decided that because I am a big boy now, things around the house had to change. Some of the changes were good and some weren't.
A good change is that I finally get to ride front-facing in my car seat! It is so much fun to see what is going on around me, instead of just looking at the back of the seat!
Another good change is that I get to use a big boy cup now instead of the bottle. I feel like a grown up!
As I said, not all the changes were positive. Mommy and Daddy have gotten very strict about my eating habits. I have consequences now when I refuse foods by spitting them out or when I throw my plate across the room. Instead of just getting told "no" I get taken out of my highchair and put on the floor until I can act like a big boy again.
All in all, I like being 15 months old. It is more fun at daycare because I get to play with the other kids more. They are teaching me so much. I dance a lot more now and imitate everything. I can't wait to see what it will be like when I'm even older!

First Encounter with Snow
It snowed earlier this week, so Daddy and Mommy put on my snowsuit and took me outside. As you can see, I didn't like it. First, my snowsuit was too small--I couldn't raise my arms up all the way! Second, I can't walk in my snowsuit because the bottoms of my feet are covered. Third, and most important, it's cold in the snow!
The video shows my dislike for the snow. At the beginning, it appears that I am trying to play in the snow, but I am actually just trying to get my mittens off.

Happy Halloween!
Tonight, I got to go trick-or-treating for the first time. It was so fun. I dressed up as a chicken.
It was a little hard to walk around in my costume because it was so bulky around the middle, so I did a lot of sitting and crawling at first.
After practicing for awhile, however, I was able to move around just like I usually do.
(I was even able to help clean...)
(...and play the piano as loud as possible!)
I was a little scared taking candy from strangers, but after I saw Mommy and Daddy do it over and over, I decided I could try it just once. Unfortunately, the candy I took had peanuts in it, so I am going to stay far away from that! I'll just be satisfied to lick the outside.

Updates on the Walking Front
For those of you who don't get to see me often, I thought I would update you on my walking skills. It has been exactly a month since I learned how to walk. I feel like a pro because I can walk everywhere I go. Here is a video of me walking down the hallway.
The next video shows three things: how well I can turn around when walking, me playing peek-a-boo, and me eating something from the floor.
This last video shows how well I can walk while carrying my blankie. It is very important that I have my blankie with me at all times, so I have had to practice A LOT to be able to walk AND carry it!

My First Leaf Pile
Yum!
A couple months ago, Mommy and Daddy were eating popcorn. When they weren't looking, I reached right into the bowl and got myself a handful. I found out that popcorn tastes GREAT! Now it is my favorite food, just like Mommy! In this video, you can see just how much I like it.

The History of Walking
As I mentioned earlier, I finally learned how to walk. I wanted to learn just in time for my 14-month birthday. I have been practicing so much for the last couple weeks. I started by just walking between Mommy and Daddy. A few days later, I was taking a couple steps here and there. Then I practiced learning to turn around while free-standing. Now, two weeks later, I walk all over. Each day, I learn to walk just a little bit farther. I can carry things while walking, I can walk around and over my toys, and I can right myself when I am about to fall. I am so proud of myself!

Last Swim of the Season
Last weekend was so warm that Mommy brought out the kiddie pool again. We had so much fun! Look at how much I have changed since the last time you saw me in my pool. I can stand up now (see both pictures below). And guess what?!?!?! I FINALLY LEARNED HOW TO WALK!!!!
One of the best parts about swimming in the kiddie pool this weekend was that there were so many leaves on the deck. Not only did I get to swim, but I got to eat leaves, too!
Smile!
Several months ago, I had a post that proved I knew how to smile for the camera. If you'll remember, I was hoping by smiling immediately, it would mean less flashbulbs. This was not the case, so in the months that followed, I found it easier to plead ignorance of the camera's presence and just look the other way. Once in a while, however, I will still crank out the cute faces.
