Hermione and the Splash Pad

Hermione got a new splash pad for the deck! It connects to the hose, so it shoots out water all the time! She loves it! I wish Mommy and Daddy had bought one for me because it looks like a LOT of fun!

Early Crawling Experiences for Hermione!

My little sister has been learning to crawl lately. She is so cute! She spent a week rocking on all fours and then started crawling...backwards. The next week, she went forward three steps one day and across the room the next. Now she is able to turn around AND go from sitting to crawling and from crawling to sitting. This video is from the first day she took several crawls forward. You'll see just how much my little sister loves Mommy's keys!!!

First Time at the Splashpad

Today, Hermione got to try out the splash pad for the first time! She gets nervous when she tries new things, so Mommy had to introduce it to her really slowly. I remember when I went to the splash pad for the first time--I dove right in and even had my face in the spigots!

After the splash pad, Daddy took Hermione to swing!

More Fun in the Pool

Hermione's Best Friend

Hermione recently got a new best friend: Elmo. She even laughs whenever she sees him on TV. It's really cool because I used to love Elmo, too. Mommy and Daddy even had a birthday party for me with Elmo as the theme!

Learning to Crawl!

Just last weekend, Hermione started getting up on all fours. She is so excited because she knows that she is about to be able to move all over the house!

Unfortunately, all she can do so far is crawl backwards, so she frequently gets stuck places, such as under the couch.

Daddy-Love

Daddy doesn't believe in the "Daddy's Little Girl" phenomenon, but as you can see from these pictures, Hermione already loves her Daddy so much!

It's So Much Fun to Stand!

Hermione recently learned how to stand on her own. She wants to do it all the time. She even likes to pull herself up!

She gets to play in the same drawer of outside dishes that I used to play in!

Not all the fun with the special drawer involves standing up!

Hermione Finally Likes Swimming!

As you may remember from a couple posts ago, Hermione was NOT impressed with swimming her first time out. Unfortunately, that was Mommy's fault because she made the water too cold. Now that the water is the right temperature, Hermione loves to spend time in the pool!

Hermione has a very short attention span, but she stays in the pool all the way until nap-time!

A Day with Grandpa!

For Hermione's first day of summer break, Mommy took her up to visit Grandpa! It took awhile for Hermione to warm up to him because it had been awhile, but as you can see from all the pictures, she took to him perfectly!

Hermione had a really fun time because there were a lot of new toys at Grandpa's house! Like any baby, though, one of her favorite toys was the container of wipes.

Another favorite toy was the walker. Mommy and Daddy don't have one on wheels but Grandpa does and Hermione learned that she can move herself around the basement...backwards.

It wouldn't be a normal day if Hermione didn't take some cute pictures while posing.

Memorial Day

My little sister was very busy for her first Memorial Day. First, Mommy and Daddy put Hermione's Radio Flyer together and took her for a walk.

Then Hermione came to visit me!

Mommy also wanted Hermione to try out my old swimming pool. Unfortunately, Mommy made the water WAY too cold and Hermione HATED it!

From the looks of this next picture, Hermione is definitely not a starving child!
