The Linus Chalupa Reading Corner

Aside from donating to Project Linus, Mommy and Daddy also decided to donate to the school where Mommy works. They were so wonderful to her after I became an angel that Mommy and Daddy wanted to give something back.

With my help (and Mommy's students' help), they decided to create The Linus Chalupa Reading Corner! Wow! They got a rocking chair, a rug the color of my blankie, two Linus blankets, and 75 books! It is so exciting!

Here is a list of the books Mommy and Daddy donated. And of course, there is a picture of me at the bottom of the list! I'm so cute!

Mommy and Daddy had a special dedication ceremony with all of Mommy's students. She even read them one of the books that was donated. The book is called "Owl Babies" and it's so good!

In honor of me, Mommy's students made cards and posters for her and Daddy! Two of Mommy's students even made shirts! Is that cool or what?!

GUESS WHAT?!?!?!

I'm going to be a big brother!!!!!

Mommy is going to have a baby in late September! That means I will have to share all my toys, but I'm up for it. I'm a big boy. I can't wait to teach my little brother or sister all kinds of mischief!

Look at all the Blankets!

Mommy and Daddy decided to donate some of my memorial money to Project Linus, which is a national organization that gives hand-made blankets to children in hospitals. I was wondering if that charity was named after me, but I found out that is named after the Linus from Charlie Brown (who likes his blue blanket as much as I do!).

Mommy and Daddy bought enough fleece and flannel to make 45 blankets! On February 19th, they joined members of Project Linus to help make all the blankets. 20 of Mommy and Daddy's friends and family showed up to help them make the blankets! It was so cool!

My Anniversary

The 1-year anniversary of my becoming an angel was on February 11th, 2009. Mommy and Daddy did so much that day. First, they decorated my plaque with new flowers and memorabilia!

Mommy and Daddy also had a 16 people over the house on my anniversary! They played games and ate food ALL DAY LONG!

To thank her students, Mommy also had a party for her fifth and sixth graders. There were 100 cookies, 11 bags of Cheetos (it isn't a party without Cheetos!) and punch for everyone to enjoy. All the students got to play games, too. Mommy's favorite was Twister--she and one of her sixth graders had a 25-minute-long match.

I'm a Star...Literally!

For a Christmas present, one of Mommy's students got her the coolest gift--a star to name after me! Mommy and Daddy picked out a star in the Draco constellation (because my middle name is Drake and because Mommy thought I acted like a little dragon sometimes). My location is 20h 27m 37.76s 68 49' 20.48". I'm not sure what all those numbers mean, but those are the coordinates of my star. I am right outside the tip of Draco's mouth.

Elvis!!!

Mommy and Daddy went to Las Vegas for Christmas. I did go with them, of course! While they were there, they did an Elvis wedding renewal. I could tell the were thinking of me because Mommy and Daddy (and even Elvis!) did shout-outs to me during the wedding.

Time for Christmas

Look at the tree Mommy and Daddy got me for Christmas! It even has solar lights so it shines all night long. Oh yeah, by the way, the stain on the wall to the left of the tree? That's leftover chicken that I managed to wipe all over the wall last winter!

Mommy and Daddy worked really hard to make sure my tree would be perfect. Here are three of the ornaments they bought for the tree.
