A Brother's Love

One of Mommy's friends gave an awesome gift to Hermione for Christmas. It was a poem that she wrote. It is supposed to be a poem from me to my little sister. Here is the poem:

A Brother's Love

My sweet little sister,
There are things that you must know.
We'll have moments just between us,
As you live and learn and grow.

Mom and Dad will tell you,
About your brother's love,
As I protect and watch you,
High from up above.

But we will share some moments,
That they may not see,
Special loving moments,
Just meant for you and me.

When you lay and giggle,
For reasons no one knows,
That's because I am tickling,
All your precious toes.

When you sit and smile,
In peculiar places,
That's because I am teasing you,
With all my silly faces.

And when you get the butterflies,
On stage in the 1st grade,
I will be the voice inside,
Saying, "Do not be afraid."

When you're sad and crying,
I will wipe away your tears,
I will cheer you in your triumphs,
Support you through your fears.

I'll bring the breeze when you are hot,
The sun when you are cold,
I'll raise you up when you are low,
Both when you're young and old.

I'll be your light when it is dark,
Your strength when you feel weak,
We'll be the best of friends,
Although we'll never speak.

This special bond between us,
Is strong and pure and true,
Its a bond that can't be broken,
I'll always be with you.

Christmas!

For Christmas, Mommy and Daddy took Hermione to Grandpa Mike and Grandma Mary's house on Christmas Eve.

Grandma Yumiko got to hold Hermione a lot!

Here is Grandma Mary holding Hermione!

Aunt Abby and Uncle Jake got to spend time with her as well.

Christmas Day made Hermione happy because it was at home.

There aren't pictures of other people holding Hermione because she was really clingy to Mommy and Daddy that day. She didn't feel like charming ANYONE but them! :-)

The next three days were just spent with family coming in and out to visit Hermione.

Aunt Megan and Uncle Doug held Hermione as much as possible since they live in Colorado.

Even though so many people wanted to hold her, Grandma still got in plenty of time!

Darn, my little sister is cute!

Daddy and Hermione Time!

After Mommy went back to work, Daddy took time off to spend with Hermione so she didn't have to go to daycare. Daddy and Hermione had so much fun! Here are some pictures of things they did together!

One of Hermione's favorite things is to play on her changing table. Whenever she is in a really bad mood, she will still be happy on her changing table. I'm not sure why she likes it so much!

Daddy and Hermione spent a lot of time playing on the floor.

Hermione is about ready to find her feet!

Daddy also took lots of pictures of Hermione making faces while sitting in her bouncy seat! The first one is my favorite!

I guess Daddy surprised Hermione when he took this picture!

Daddy and Hermione also took pictures while she was in her swing.

Thank goodness she napped at least a little bit for Daddy!

Look what Mommy's students bought for Hermione!

This year for art class, Mommy's students designed their own t-shirts! It has all their names on it. Because they knew how cute she would look, they bought one for Hermione!

Hermione's Christmas Outfit

Grandma Mary bought Hermione a new Christmas outfit! She was so excited to wear it, she couldn't even wait for Christmas!

Hermione and Computers

As you can see, I loved to play with computers!

It looks to me like Hermione is interested in computers as well, even at her very young age.

Getting Ready for Christmas Photos

Mommy and Daddy have lots of Linus ornaments and pictures of me hanging on their Christmas tree. I pointed out that it was only fair if they had a picture of Hermione on the tree as well. Yesterday, Mommy and Daddy took lots of pictures of Hermione smiling for the camera. I must have taught her well, because she smiled for every picture! She is just too darn cute!
