First Family Pictures

Look how excited Mommy and Daddy are to have a new baby! This was their first family picture!

This picture was taken when Hermione was only a few minutes old. I can sympathize with her because it was pretty scary at first. I know she will get used to the outside world and she will learn to love it even more...I did!

She is pretty alert...when there are no visitors around!

She's Here!!!

On Thursday, September 24th, at 4:18 a.m., my little sister, Hermione Genevieve Chalupa, was born. She weighed 8 pounds, 14.5 ounces and was 21 inches long.

If there were a contest for height and weight, I would win because I weighed one ounce more and I was a half inch longer!

She is the cutest little sister I have ever seen! I can't wait to teach her all kinds of mischief!

Whoa! Look at Mommy!

My mommy is having a baby very soon, as you can see from the picture. In just 3 1/2 weeks, my baby sister will be here! I can't wait!

Look at what one of Mommy's colleagues did for me!

If you remember, after I became an angel, Mommy's students and parents dedicated a plaque, bench, and tree in my honor. They are all at the front of her school for everyone to see!

One of Mommy's colleagues thought the area needed more pizazz so he got a local floral shop to donate a whole bunch of plants! Then he planted everything earlier this week!

Even better, it is just in time for my birthday!

Who's Room is Better?

Okay, Mommy and Daddy have been very busy this summer getting ready for my little sister. They finally finished her bedroom. It's right next to mine, so I can keep an eye on her when I visit my room.

My sister's room came out very cute and Mommy says it's perfect, just like mine. I'll let you be the judge on who's room is better.

Here's my sister's crib. I love the blanket hanging over the side (even if it does have pink in it...I know it's okay for boys to like pink, but I'm not so sure).

Here is my sister's dresser and chair and a snippet of the curtains. It's pretty cool because Aunt Jen made the curtains AND the slipcover for the chair!

Here is her changing table. If you look closely (or click on the picture) you'll see that my picture and a Linus figurine are on the shelf. Mommy and Daddy thought I should watch over my little sister as much as possible.

Now for my room. Nothing girly about it, that's for sure. Plus, I got elephants in my room!

I also have way more pictures than my little sister (I'm so special!). Aunt Jen made me a blanket, which you can see over my rocker. A blanket is WAY more fun than a curtain or a slipcover!

Look at My Sister!!!

As you know, I'm going to be a big brother! Well...Mommy and Daddy found out last week that I get to have a little sister! I am so excited because I am going to be very protective of her. I will also show her all my tricks! Just think of all the mischievous things I can teach her...time-out, here we come!

Here are some pictures of her!

She did a lot of hiding during Mommy's ultrasound. I'm not sure why, because as you can see from the next two pictures, she's so cute! And yes, big brothers ARE allowed to say their baby sisters are cute!

Seriously, look at that face!

I think she may have some of Mommy's family in her because look at her long leg and her big feet in the next two pictures! Whoa!

The Linus Chalupa Reading Corner

Aside from donating to Project Linus, Mommy and Daddy also decided to donate to the school where Mommy works. They were so wonderful to her after I became an angel that Mommy and Daddy wanted to give something back.

With my help (and Mommy's students' help), they decided to create The Linus Chalupa Reading Corner! Wow! They got a rocking chair, a rug the color of my blankie, two Linus blankets, and 75 books! It is so exciting!

Here is a list of the books Mommy and Daddy donated. And of course, there is a picture of me at the bottom of the list! I'm so cute!

Mommy and Daddy had a special dedication ceremony with all of Mommy's students. She even read them one of the books that was donated. The book is called "Owl Babies" and it's so good!

In honor of me, Mommy's students made cards and posters for her and Daddy! Two of Mommy's students even made shirts! Is that cool or what?!
